Dedrone is the market leader in passive RF-based drone detection and was acquired by Axon Enterprise in 2024, giving it access to US law-enforcement and defence distribution. Its DedroneTracker.AI platform fuses RF, radar and camera inputs into a single pane of glass, and its DroneDNA library fingerprints more than 270 commercial drone models, including DJI's MAVLink and OcuSync protocols. Dedrone sensors are passive-only by default — they do not transmit — which suits civilian airport deployment where active jamming is typically prohibited. The company has published trials with London airports, Fenway Park, and the US Secret Service, and recently expanded into the GCC after drone incursions at Gulf airports in 2024.
