Goldhofer AG

Goldhofer, a 300-year-old Bavarian heavy-haul specialist, is the reference maker of towbarless aircraft tractors. Its AST-series (AST-1X narrowbody to AST-2X wide-body and AST-3-F425 for A380/B747-8) lift the nose gear and transport aircraft without a towbar, cutting pushback time and damage risk. The Bison, Sherpa and Phoenix-E electric variants (Phoenix-E hit the market in 2021) are pitched directly into the Gulf's decarbonisation tenders. DXB, DOH and AUH operate Goldhofer AST fleets for both gate and maintenance towing, typically supplied via local partners including NAFFCO and Saudi Ground Services.
