The safety-critical voice layer of air traffic control: Voice Communication Systems (VCS) that switch radio and telephone channels to the controller, touchscreen controller working positions, emergency access devices, voice gateways and VoIP, plus the legal record-and-replay systems that capture every controller transmission for incident review. Buyers are air navigation service providers, civil aviation authorities and airport towers, and procurement is bound by ICAO Annex 10, EUROCAE recording standards and strict redundancy requirements. The systems must integrate with surveillance and ATM platforms and carry long support life. Legal record-and-replay (ED-111/ED-112 retention) is frequently tendered alongside or separately from the live VCS.
