De-icing Trucks & Ground Equipment

This sub-category covers the ground support equipment that applies de-icing and anti-icing fluid to aircraft: self-propelled open- and enclosed-cab de-icing trucks, fixed and mobile gantries, telescopic booms, high-flow spray nozzles and monitors, and the on-truck fluid heating, blending and dispensing systems. It also includes ramp-side fluid storage tanks, glycol-recovery collection rigs and heated supply infrastructure. Procurement is a capex GSE decision driven by throughput (aircraft per hour), basket reach for wide-bodies, fluid-economy and electrification. Many suppliers in this space also build winter-ops equipment such as runway sweepers and snow brushes, so de-icing trucks are frequently sourced from broader airport-equipment manufacturers.
