The HFTR is Aerolighting's multi-role inset LED light for helipads and heliport zones, designed to serve every in-pavement marking function from TLOF edge lighting to FATO demarcation, taxiway-edge guidance, and aiming-point lighting within a single 150 mm form factor. The aluminium-and-stainless-steel housing is engineered to sit flush in the pad surface while the glass is fully encased in the aluminium frame — eliminating any edge gap where the lens could snag undercarriage, wheels, or maintenance equipment. The HFTR draws 4 W to 12 W depending on the output configuration, and is fully addressable, dimmable, and remotely monitorable via KNX, DALI, or compatible high-availability control networks. This makes it compatible with the centrally managed airfield lighting control systems found at dedicated heliports, hospital helipads operated by large healthcare groups, and offshore installations where fault-indication is monitored from a central control room. The WatBar physical moisture barrier at the cable entry prevents the capillary ingress through conduit runs that causes premature corrosion in sub-surface installations — a failure mode particularly common in coastal and high-humidity environments such as the Gulf littoral zone and offshore platforms. Over 500 units are held in ready stock, supporting short lead-time procurement cycles for project contractors and maintenance operators. With simultaneous compliance across ICAO Annex 14 Vol I and Vol II, FAA, EASA, CASA, and DGAC-STAC, the HFTR is usable on projects where the certifying authority may be any combination of these bodies — common in the GCC where international design consultancies apply ICAO standards alongside local GCAA, QCAA, or GACA overlay requirements. The 5-year warranty and Swiss manufacture align with the longevity expectations of capital infrastructure procurement in the region.
