Airbus Tactilon Agnet
3GPP-standards-compliant MCx application delivering mission-critical push-to-talk, video, and data over 4G/5G and Wi-Fi — deployable as cloud SaaS or on-premises.
Tactilon Agnet is Airbus's software-defined MCx (Mission Critical by Anything) platform, built in full conformance with 3GPP standards and interoperable with existing TETRA, TETRAPOL, and DMR narrowband networks via certified 3GPP Interworking Functions. It delivers the complete MCx feature set — MCPTT (push-to-talk), MCVideo (live video), and MCData (messaging, file transfer, location) — over any 4G, 5G, or Wi-Fi bearer. Call floor acquisition completes in under 0.3 seconds when network conditions are nominal, matching or exceeding the latency profile of dedicated narrowband systems. The platform is ISO 27001:2022 certified and secures all communications with AES-256 encryption, making it viable for sensitive government and defence-aviation use cases. Agnet runs as an Android or iOS mobile application on standard commercial devices, removing the need for dedicated radio hardware in roles where a smartphone is the preferred form factor. Three deployment architectures are available: cloud-hosted SaaS on Microsoft Azure, private on-premises server, or hybrid. The hybrid model is strategically important for airports and operators with existing TETRA infrastructure — it allows Agnet users (running smartphones) and legacy radio users to communicate in the same talk groups without a rip-and-replace programme. Additional features include drone camera integration, bodycam footage relay, man-down alerts, and geo-location sharing, giving airport operations centres and security teams comprehensive real-time awareness. For GCC operators building or modernising critical communications infrastructure, Agnet represents the broadband migration path that does not discard narrowband investment.

Use cases.
- ›Airport operations centres requiring seamless voice, video, and data collaboration across ground handling, security, and management teams
- ›Hybrid deployments where existing TETRA radio users and new smartphone users must share talk groups without infrastructure replacement
- ›Government and defence-aviation operators needing ISO 27001-certified MCx on 4G/5G networks
- ›Large events and major airport expansions where temporary on-premises MCx capability is required
- ›GCC airline and airport authorities modernising communications infrastructure toward broadband standards
- ›Lone-worker protection and man-down monitoring for ramp and airside staff in high-traffic environments
