It is heat-applied from rolls and contains retroreflective glass beads intermixed throughout the material, so new beads are exposed as the marking wears for continued nighttime visibility. Following extensive FAA testing across 7 of 9 FAA regions, AirMark is included in FAA Advisory Circular 150/5370-10F and can only be installed by PPG's trained AirMark Certified Applicators.
