A rigid vertical conveyor mounted at one end of a fixed structure pivots on a reel that doubles as the belt hinge and drive, with a system-controlled geared motor opening and closing the arm through a simple to-and-fro motion. Full sheet-metal guarding prevents access to moving parts.
