Roadrunner-M — VTOL reusable counter-air loitering interceptor
VTOL loitering interceptor — twin turbojet, reusable if no engagement, autonomous return-and-recover.
Roadrunner-M is Anduril's VTOL counter-air loitering interceptor — a reusable, twin-turbojet, vertically-launched and vertically-recovered air vehicle that engages Group 2 and Group 3 UAS as well as cruise-missile-class threats. Cued by Lattice OS, Roadrunner can launch on warning, loiter at altitude, intercept the target with an explosive payload, or — if no engagement is authorised — autonomously return to its launch box for refurbishment. The reusability profile materially reduces the per-engagement cost compared to single-shot effectors. Selected by USSOCOM in 2023 and reportedly fielded operationally in 2024; ITAR-restricted with sales to allied nations under FMS.
