Anera's mezzanine floor platform — referred to in Continental European terminology as an entresol — is a standalone steel-framed raised level installed inside an existing structure. It creates additional usable floor space by using building height rather than building footprint. The structure is self-supporting: it bears entirely on its own column grid and imposes no loads on the host building's walls or roof, removing the need for structural surveys or permit-intensive modifications before installation. The floor is built from Anera's proprietary cold-formed Euro profiles, produced and powder-coated in-house. This allows a very high strength-to-weight ratio and precise dimensional control. Load capacity scales from 250 kg/m² for light office or assembly use up to over 1,500 kg/m² for machinery-heavy industrial applications. Floors start at as little as 5 m², making the system viable in confined ancillary spaces such as customs inspection rooms, airside stores, and security equipment rooms within terminal buildings. For airports and aviation facilities, the entresol mezzanine is most commonly used to create additional administrative or technical workspace above ground-floor operational areas, to house IT and comms equipment above floor level, or to provide covered storage for ground support equipment in hangars and ramp service buildings. Integration of lighting rigs, sprinkler heads, and conduit runs is supported at the design stage. The floor is fully demountable and reusable, which is a procurement advantage when the facility is leased or subject to future reconfiguration. Anera's engineering team provides full BIM-compatible drawing packages and handles project management from concept to sign-off inspection.
