Staircases, Platforms and Safety Accessories
Modular steel staircases, intermediate platforms, handrails, and collision barriers designed to complete mezzanine and system-integrator installations to occupational safety standards.
Anera's staircase, platform, and safety accessory range provides the access, edge-protection, and barrier elements that make a mezzanine or system-integrator structure legally occupiable and safe for regular personnel use. The product family covers stairs in two material treatments — standard powder-coated welded-stringer stairs and Sendzimir-galvanised stairs for corrosion-prone or wash-down environments — across three incline options (35°, 45°, 50°) with treads available in open grating, checker plate, O2 anti-slip, or timber for office-quality finishes. Stair dimensions are sized to national standards: the 45° configuration (the Netherlands / Belgium standard) reaches up to 3,780 mm height over 18 steps, with 210 mm minimum tread depth and 210 mm maximum riser; the 35° variant (required under German regulation) reaches 3,420 mm. Where floor height exceeds the single-stair span, Anera supplies intermediate platforms — straight, quarter-turn, or 180-degree two-quarter-turn — to create compliant multi-stage access. Handrails are available in four configurations: standard tubular, hot-dip galvanised, mesh-infill (fall-object protection), and perforated-plate (climb-resistant, suited to public-access and airside zones where unauthorised access is a security concern). Collision-protection barriers — wheel guides and post guards — complete the range. In airport baggage-hall and cargo environments, galvanised stairs and mesh handrails are the typical specification: the wash-down cleaning regimes and humid below-apron conditions accelerate corrosion on un-galvanised components. All components are produced in-house to the same tolerance and finish standard as Anera's primary structures, enabling single-supplier project delivery and consistent inspection documentation.
