XIS-100XD

The XIS-100XD is a single-view, downshooter-configuration X-ray inspection system built around a 100 × 100 cm square tunnel — large enough to accept oversize checked baggage, heavy parcels, and bulky items that exceed the capacity of standard 65 × 45 cm checkpoint lanes. The repositioned 180 kV generator is mounted to shoot downward through the object on the conveyor, a geometry that concentrates imaging energy through the densest cross-sections of packed bags and delivers sharper differentiation of layered contents than a side-shooter arrangement.

The system's most operationally significant design choice is its 30 cm conveyor height — well below the 70+ cm of most hold-baggage units. At 30 cm, heavy bags, equipment cases, and bulk items can be slid directly from a trolley or floor-level pallet onto the conveyor belt without lifting, reducing both handling time and baggage-handler ergonomic risk. This makes the XIS-100XD particularly relevant at airports and logistics centres where heavy cargo-class items are routinely screened: oversized sporting equipment, medical devices, diplomatic pouches, and high-value freight.

In airport operations, the XIS-100XD is positioned in the hold-baggage screening hall as a dedicated lane for items too large or heavy for the main CBIS conveyor network, or as a standalone unit in smaller regional terminal buildings that cannot accommodate a full multi-level BHS installation.
