The Micro 100 has been a flagship CCR product from ATG Airports since its launch in 2001 and remains widely installed across the global airfield lighting estate. It uses an anti-parallel thyristor pair operating in phase-angle control mode, regulated by a microcontroller-driven feedback and protection loop. The result is a compact, self-contained cubicle with eight fully adjustable brilliancy levels that covers the complete range of runway and taxiway circuit intensities required by civil and military ATC authorities.

Four internal compartments separate the microcontroller and display electronics from analogue control, power components, and cable connections — a layout that simplifies fault diagnosis and allows front-of-cubicle access for routine checks. The front panel presents real-time RMS output current, circuit voltage, insulation resistance, operational hours, lamp failure count, and alarm descriptions, eliminating the need for a connected laptop during routine inspection or fault-finding.

The Micro 100 accepts internal or external brilliancy commands through hardwired inputs or fieldbus protocols including Profibus, JBUS, Ethernet, and TCP/IP, enabling integration into modern airfield management and ALCMS platforms. Optional capacitive output current monitoring, internal lightning arrestors, and precise per-lamp fault detection with accuracy to ±1 lamp for the first ten faults extend its suitability to high-criticality circuits.

For airports in the GCC and wider Middle East with large populations of legacy thyristor CCRs, the Micro 100 provides a proven, standards-compliant upgrade path — it is FAA-certified to AC 150/5345-10F and complies with CAA CAP 168, IEC 61822, and relevant EMC standards — without requiring switchroom redesign.
