The ZA280L (centreline) and ZA281L (stopbar) form ATG Airports' legacy-heritage inset LED taxiway lighting family — an evolution of the long-established ZA280/ZA281 halogen product line into LED technology, preserving the seating-pot dimensions and electrical interface that are already installed at many airports worldwide.
The ZA280L provides taxiway centreline guidance in the standard ICAO colour sequence — green/yellow — while the ZA281L emits the mandatory red light used at stopbar positions marking hold-short points ahead of runway intersections. Both fittings are rated for Category III all-weather operations, making them suitable for the most demanding visibility conditions found at major international airports.
Both variants connect to standard 6.6 A airfield lighting circuits through 45 W, 65 W, or 100 W series isolating transformers. Power consumption is either 49 W or 105 W depending on the optical configuration selected, offering procurement engineers a direct power budget comparison against the halogen predecessors they replace.
Compliance with FAA AC 150/5345-46D for L-852A, B, C, and D designations, ICAO Annex 14, NATO STANAG 3316, CAA CAP 168, and BS 3224 Part 5 inset fittings means the ZA280L/ZA281L pair satisfies the airworthiness authority requirements of virtually all major civil aviation regimes.
