The Avio-Pack ATLAS Half-Size Meal Trolley occupies exactly half the length footprint of a full-size unit while sharing the same 301 mm width and 1030 mm height profile — making it interchangeable with the ATLAS standard and compatible with every galley compartment designed around that dimension family. It is the preferred format on single-aisle aircraft where galley depth limits stowage of a full-size cart, and on short- to medium-haul sectors where a smaller unit covers the service cycle without the full load weight. Constructed from the same aluminum alloy and stainless steel hardware platform as the full-size version, the half-size trolley handles up to 14 Atlas half-size meal trays or two standard drawers per level. Its unladen weight of approximately 12–13 kg and maximum load rating around 68 kg means it can be managed by a single cabin crew member on narrow-aisle operations where paired full-size trolleys cannot physically pass each other. The dual-pedal brake system is carried over from the full-size, holding the unit stationary on the typical 2–3° aircraft deck pitch during service. On GCC carrier networks, single-aisle fleets — operated extensively by flydubai, Air Arabia, and Riyadh Air for intra-regional routes — use half-size trolleys as the primary service vehicle.
