Aviramp Domestic
Compact motorised boarding ramp for turboprops and small regional jets, with a switchback walkway and door sill coverage from 100 to 190 cm.
The Aviramp Domestic is the lightest motorised model in the range, engineered for the smallest commercially operated passenger aircraft — ATR 42/72, Bombardier CRJ-200, Embraer ERJ-145, SAAB 340, and similar turboprop and small regional-jet types whose door sills typically fall between 100 and 190 cm above the ramp surface.
Despite its compact overall dimensions (approximately 9.1 m long, 328 cm deployed width, 2,000 kg), the Domestic retains the patented 360-degree switchback walkway geometry that is the defining characteristic of the Aviramp family. This keeps the boarding slope to 7.5–8 degrees — the same standard applied on the Continental and International — so that wheelchair users and PRM passengers receive an equivalent boarding experience regardless of aircraft size. Single-operator control via tiller or remote, and diesel or solar/electric power with up to 24-hour battery runtime, are standard.
The Domestic's value proposition is total cost of ownership: low purchase cost relative to larger models, low annual maintenance (confirmed by operator JINWA and JAC, who publicly cited cost savings as a key driver), and the flexibility to reposition the ramp between remote stands without a tow vehicle. For domestic operators, island-hopping networks, and smaller charter airports in the GCC and broader Gulf region where ATR operations are common — particularly in Oman and Saudi Arabia — the Domestic delivers a PRM-compliant, accessible boarding solution at a scale that fits constrained apron environments and modest infrastructure budgets.

Use cases.
- ›Step-free PRM boarding on ATR, CRJ-200, ERJ-145 and equivalent turboprop/small regional-jet types
- ›Domestic hub and spoke operations where the same unit services multiple stands across a turn cycle
- ›Island and short-sector networks in warm climates where solar power eliminates diesel dependency
- ›Airports with limited apron space needing a compact ramp that does not conflict with ground-power or baggage equipment
- ›Operators looking to replace ambulift-based PRM boarding with an integrated walkway solution at lower per-turn cost
