CrisClaim Baggage Carousels
Modular low-noise baggage reclaim carousel with flat and inclined passenger-side options, stainless steel cladding, and a belt speed rated for continuous peak-hour operation.
CrisClaim is BEUMER Group's baggage reclaim carousel product line, drawn from the Crisplant range. It is a flat-bed conveyor loop installed in the arrivals hall, delivering checked baggage from the baggage breakdown area to waiting passengers. The system is configurable in both convex and concave plan layouts to match irregular hall geometries, and can be specified with either a flat passenger-access edge or an inclined (sloped) presenting surface that tilts bags toward the passenger, reducing reach-over effort and damage.
The modular construction means individual carousel sections can be replaced or upgraded during scheduled maintenance without shutting down the entire unit — a significant availability advantage in high-traffic terminals. The steel frame is clad in stainless steel panels that clean easily and maintain appearance in the humidity-intensive reclaim environment. An electrical soft-starter is standard, with an optional frequency inverter for speed-regulated operation during partial load — reducing wear on the belt during quiet overnight periods.
The noise performance specification (max 65 dB(A)) is meaningful in international terminals where reclaim halls double as premium passenger zones with close proximity to lounge spaces. A static load rating of 200 kg/m means the carousel surface handles heavy bags and trolleys without structural deflection. The unit is frequently integrated with BEUMER's wider BHS so that baggage delivered from make-up conveyors feeds onto the carousel at a controlled rate matched to the carousel belt speed, preventing pile-ups during peak discharge. GCC airports with high summer passenger throughput and rapid aircraft turn requirements benefit from the carousel's continuous-run design.
