The FR-400/28 Series eliminates the need for separate AC and DC ground power units by integrating a 400 Hz frequency converter and a 28.5 V DC rectifier into one cabinet on a single trolley. For airlines, handlers, and MRO operators managing ramp dwell time and equipment investment, a single combined unit at each stand position is simpler to deploy, maintain, and move than two independent GPUs. The AC section operates at 400 Hz with rated capacity up to 360 kVA — sufficient for the full range of commercial and military aircraft types. The DC section delivers 28.5 V with multi-mode voltage selection (28 / 48 / 56 V), and both sections are independently controllable and capable of running simultaneously. This simultaneous operation is load-bearing for maintenance scenarios where avionics systems on the 400 Hz bus and starter/emergency circuits on the DC bus must be powered concurrently, as is common during pre-departure checks or line maintenance on twin-aisle aircraft. A 400 Hz 36 V output option and standard 50/60 Hz sockets extend the FR-400/28's utility to test equipment and general workshop tools without needing additional supply. The trolley, colour scheme, cable lengths, and key technical parameters are configurable to airline livery standards and specific aircraft type requirements. The series covers airports, MRO shop floors, and training centres — anywhere that both power standards must be available and equipment count matters for cost or congestion reasons. Independent channel control also allows one channel to be isolated for maintenance or fault-finding without taking the entire unit offline.
