The CBL2000E is Charlatte's full-size battery-electric belt loader and, per the OEM, the first AC-powered belt loader brought to market. It services all aircraft types with door-sill heights from 30 in (76 cm) up to 172 in (437 cm) — single-aisle bins through wide-body lower decks — which matters for GCC mixed fleets where the same ramp team turns A320-class narrow-bodies and wide-bodies in one shift. Because the unit is electric it does not fill cargo bins with smoke or fumes and runs near-silent — a genuine occupational-health gain for loaders working inside bins through Gulf summer heat.

Published specification: 72 V or 80 V battery options with 375/425 Ah capacities; 40 hp (30 kW) ABM AC traction motor; 16 mph (26 km/h) running speed on level ground; 9,750 lb (4,432 kg) gross weight with battery. The belt is a self-aligning, direct-drive design — the belt motor couples straight to the drive roller, eliminating sprockets and chains — with three belt speeds and belt travel of 30-100 ft/min on a 24 in (61 cm) wide belt. Front belt height ranges 30-172 in, rear 16-85 in. A dedicated 'creep' mode regulates approach speed between 0.5 and 3 mph (0.8-4.8 km/h) for controlled, damage-free positioning at the fuselage. Belt-direction controls sit at front and rear of the boom, stop buttons on all four corners, and emergency stops on both sides of the boom head. Braking is dual hydraulic (front disc, rear drum) with hydraulic power steering.

The fleet-engineering argument is the quiet differentiator: the CBL2000E deliberately shares its AC drive motor, controller, converter, axles, steering, braking and the majority of accessories with the T137 electric baggage tractor, so a handler running Charlatte tractors carries one spares inventory and one set of technician skills across both vehicle types. Charge times and battery chemistry are not published for this model and should be specified at quotation for hot-climate duty cycles.
