Lightweight and constructed in ABS, it is used in machine-space environments onboard ASTUTE submarines. It uses an electret noise-cancelling microphone on a steel boom with full radial and lateral adjustment, a 300-ohm moving-coil earphone, and a detachable down-lead with in-line PTT and integral clothing clip.
