The XT Series represents DKA Aerospace's engineering flagship in meal cart design, introduced to push aluminium cart performance beyond what earlier lightweight lines achieved. The series spans three variants — XT2.5, XT2.5+, and XT3.0 — sharing a common design philosophy: CNC-milled aluminium panels assembled into a UNI-STRUCTURE architecture that eliminates the joint-and-join weak points typical of extruded-frame construction. The result is a torsionally stiff cart that resists racking under impact loads, while shedding mass at each generational step. The XT2.5 weighs 16.7–18.3 kg full-size and 10.7–11.7 kg half-size — already class-competitive. The XT3.0, launched at Aircraft Interiors Expo Hamburg in April 2025 and positioned by DKA as the lightest meal cart on the market, reduces this further to 14.8 kg full-size and 9.6 kg half-size, a saving achieved through refined panel milling tolerances and optimised bumper frame geometry. Across a wide-body aircraft carrying ten full-size trolleys, the XT3.0 versus a standard-class cart represents a measurable reduction in structural payload weight per sector. All XT Series carts share interchangeable door panels, allowing operators to mix XT2.5 and XT3.0 units within a single fleet without parts proliferation. Single-piece CNC-milled base and top panels, pressed runners, recessed side panels that protect against ramp dents, and stainless-steel braking are consistent across the line. TENTE Aviana or STEINCO castor options accommodate varying floor surface preferences across airline galleys. Certified under EASA POA, CAAS POA, and FAA LoDA, listed on Boeing and Airbus approved supplier registers — eligible for BFE/SFE specification on 787, A380, and single-aisle deliveries.

Best for

Use cases.

  • Long-haul wide-body operations where minimising galley cart payload weight directly reduces fuel burn per cycle
  • Fleet weight-reduction programmes seeking the lowest-mass FAA/EASA-certified aluminium meal cart available
  • New aircraft delivery specification (BFE/SFE) on Boeing 787 and Airbus A380/A350 series
  • High-frequency short-haul operations where cart durability under rapid-cycle ramp handling is equally important to weight
  • Mixed-fleet procurement requiring cross-variant parts interchangeability to simplify galley maintenance inventory
