The TET-16 is EINSA's self-propelled single-platform cargo loader, rated at 7,300 kg (16,000 lb) and designed to service the lower deck cargo holds of wide-body aircraft and the main decks of conventional aircraft in the same unit. In standard configuration the open deck accepts 96″ × 125″ pallets, accommodating the full LD pallet family. The open-deck design — rather than a fixed enclosed table — means the unit handles oversize or irregular loads that a walled platform would reject, broadening its utility across mixed cargo types. A key operational feature of the TET-16 is its automatically side-shifting driver's post. When handling LD1 or LD3 containers into A320/A319 lower decks — where the approach corridor is geometrically restricted — the post shifts laterally onto the cargo deck, converting the loader into a narrow-platform configuration that fits within the aircraft hold entrance. This removes the need for a second specialised LD3 loader in the fleet, directly reducing capital and maintenance cost at airports with significant narrow-body belly-cargo volumes. All-round visibility from the operator position supports precise door-sill alignment, which is the primary damage-prevention priority during loading. Optional electronic height adjustment with automatic aircraft-sill alignment reduces skilled-operator dependency; a digital height display supports consistent, repeatable docking. Safety railings are available in telescopic/foldable or fixed configurations to match different operational and airside regulatory preferences. The unit meets EN-12312-9. In high-throughput cargo environments — freighter hubs, express integrator ramps, or the large belly-cargo volumes typical of long-haul GCC routes — the TET-16's dual narrow/wide capability pays back quickly against a two-loader alternative.

Best for

Use cases.

  • Lower-deck belly-cargo loading and unloading on wide-body long-haul aircraft (A330, B777, B787)
  • LD3 container handling in restricted A319/A320 lower-deck approach corridors
  • Main-deck cargo loading on conventional freighters where a single versatile loader is preferred
  • High-volume express or e-commerce cargo ramps with mixed pallet and container flows
  • Airports seeking to reduce loader fleet size by replacing two specialist units with one dual-mode loader
