The JX3300 is a complete xenon obstruction flash beacon system — control cabinet plus flash head — purpose-built for marking tall infrastructure hazards to aviation. The xenon discharge tube produces a 150 W flash energy pulse at 20,000 cd peak white intensity, the medium-intensity threshold specified by ICAO Annex 14 for structures requiring daytime conspicuity at operational distances. The 2-second flash period (30 flashes per minute) places it squarely in the Type A medium-intensity band recognised by both ICAO and FAA frameworks. The system ships as a matched pair: the control cabinet (400 × 300 × 160 mm, 11 kg) houses the charging and trigger electronics at 230 V AC input, with the flash head (7 kg) connected via the supplied 5 m fire cable. The 360° azimuthal dispersion of the head means a single unit suffices on isolated vertical structures; multi-head installations on wide structures require synchronised cabinets. Automatic brightness switching between 100% day and 20% night modes is available via an optional photoelectric cell, meeting the Annex 14 requirement for reduced night intensity without operator intervention. The IP66 housing makes the JX3300 appropriate for exposed coastal and industrial environments, and the -25°C to +55°C operating range covers both northern European winters and GCC summer rooftop conditions. An optional drying resistor is available for high-humidity or cold-start environments prone to condensation. The xenon-discharge architecture is a known quantity for aviation authorities worldwide — the JX3300 is a technically conservative, proven choice where LED approval has not yet been obtained locally or where xenon remains the preferred technology under existing aerodrome licences.

Best for

Use cases.

  • Medium-intensity obstacle marking on wind turbines, high-voltage pylons, and industrial chimneys in controlled or advisory airspace
  • Structure marking where xenon-discharge technology satisfies existing national civil aviation authority approval requirements
  • Coastal and offshore installations requiring IP66 protection against salt spray and humidity
  • Standalone or multi-unit synchronised marking of bridges, viaducts, and tall buildings adjacent to approach paths
  • Military base and hospital perimeter obstruction lighting where ICAO-compliant medium intensity is mandated
