The KSM is a supercapacitor (ultracapacitor) starting module that stores energy from the vehicle's electrical system and releases it in a high-current burst to crank the engine, even when the main batteries are depleted. It recharges automatically during normal operation and from any 12V DC source. KBi offers it as fixed and module-mount variants sized by engine displacement, making it suited to diesel-engine GSE, transit and heavy equipment subject to anti-idle regulations.
