The EL 85 is a powerful all-electric aircraft heater mounted underneath the passenger boarding bridge for short-time turnaround heating or long-time night-stop heating of narrow- and wide-body aircraft. A stainless-steel heat exchanger delivers 85 kW with no emissions, running from a 125 A power outlet, and a remote control lets the operator switch fan and heat on or off without interfering with other GSE or tarmac personnel. Its low noise level and bridge mounting free up apron space, and it can double as a summer ventilation unit; an air-cycle heating option is available for maximum performance.
