MEAP (Multi-Energy X-ray Array Portal) is a large-format drive-through inspection system that scans vehicles from passenger cars to fully loaded trucks in a single uninterrupted pass at speeds between 5 and 15 km/h. At its core, MEAP synchronises multiple X-ray sources — two 320 kV lateral and downward sources paired with a 7.5/5.0 MeV high-energy LINOLAC cyclic accelerator — generating simultaneous multi-energy, dual-view image data from orthogonal angles. A-EYE AI processing fuses that data in real time, delivering automated material classification with colour-coded threat indicators and eliminating the blind zones inherent in single-angle systems. MEAP is designed for deployment at land border crossings, seaport container terminals, and airport cargo-acceptance facilities where volume-throughput and contraband concealment risk are both high. The multi-energy fusion enables discrimination between organic, inorganic, and metallic content across the full cargo volume — not just surface projection — supporting detection of weapons, explosives, and narcotics hidden within densely packed loads. At a maximum driver dose below 0.1 µSv per scan and an operating envelope from -20 °C to +50 °C with up to 90% humidity tolerance, the system is rated for continuous outdoor use in the Gulf climate without environmental conditioning. CE, UKCA, and ISO 9001 compliance cover European and UK market requirements; a US patent (10,191,181 B2) underpins the core MEA technology. The modular architecture allows a site to begin with single-source operation and upgrade to full multi-energy capability without replacing the portal structure.
