Elevating Transfer Vehicle (ETV)
Rail-guided vehicle for dense ULD and bag storage.
The Elevating Transfer Vehicle moves ULDs vertically and horizontally within a high-density rack simultaneously, rail-guided and rail-powered. Used at JFK (218-ULD rack) and AAT Hong Kong (four 45-metre ETVs). For baggage, the ETV underpins ULD-based bag storage and transfer in widebody hubs, especially where floor space is constrained.
