AR-300
X-band drone detection radar with MASS AI classification, providing real-time UAV tracking at beyond 300 m for airfield and critical-infrastructure airspace protection.
The AR-300 is Magos Systems' dedicated counter-UAS sensing layer, operating in the X-band (10.0–10.5 GHz) to detect, track, and AI-classify small UAVs at ranges exceeding 300 metres — verified against commercially available platforms such as the DJI Mavic. Where the SR-series ground radars secure the fence line against personnel and vehicle intrusion, the AR-300 adds a vertical dimension: a 120-degree × 120-degree coverage volume (azimuth and elevation) that no ground-optimised radar replicates.
The core differentiator is the MASS AI classification engine. Rather than flagging every low-altitude return as a potential drone, the system analyses flight-path kinematics, Doppler signature, and behavioural patterns to distinguish UAVs from birds and other airborne clutter, maintaining high probability of detection while suppressing the nuisance alarms that have historically made radar-based C-UAS systems difficult to operate. Outputs drive automated PTZ slew-to-cue, enabling operators to visually verify and assess a detection within seconds.
Four AR-300 units arranged around a protected zone deliver 360-degree aerial coverage paired with a single PTZ camera, making it a self-contained C-UAS detection layer that integrates over standard ONVIF, VMS APIs, and SDK into existing security management platforms — or pairs directly with the Magos MASS+AI appliance. The sensor weighs 4.16 kg, draws 35 W at 48 V, and is fully outdoor-rated. At airports, it addresses the principal operational disruption scenario: rogue drones triggering runway closures. The AR-300 provides the early detection window for security teams to verify, classify, and initiate response before a drone reaches the approach funnel or airside areas.
