The SR-1000 is the highest-range model in the Magos SR-series ground surveillance radar family, designed specifically for large open-area perimeters where individual sensors must carry significant fence-line distance. Operating on C-band using MIMO digital beamforming, it detects pedestrians at up to 800 metres and vehicles or boats at up to 1,000–1,250 metres, covering more than 120 acres from a single mounting point — roughly double the footprint of the SR-500.
To sustain that extended range while maintaining target discriminability, the SR-1000 uses a slightly wider sensor body (240 × 320 × 58 mm, 3 kg) and the azimuth sector narrows marginally to 100 degrees compared to the 120-degree sectors of the smaller SR models. Elevation coverage remains 30 degrees. The radar's ultra-high range resolution performs reliably in cluttered environments — a direct benefit of MIMO with multiple transmit and receive apertures — and detection data updates continuously with no moving parts and an MTBF consistent with the rest of the series.
For aviation security procurement, the SR-1000 addresses the longest runway-parallel fence segments, remote threshold areas, and large cargo or MRO campuses where the sensor count to achieve full coverage is a direct cost driver. At airports in the GCC and wider Middle East — where perimeter lengths frequently exceed 10–15 km at major international hubs — the SR-1000's extended range materially reduces the number of sensor heads, mast installations, and network drops required per kilometre. The sensor connects via Ethernet with PoE support and integrates into the MASS+AI platform alongside the AR-300 drone detection layer for unified airspace and ground-threat management.
