CE/RED-certified variant of the SR-500 radar, purpose-built for European-regulatory compliance while delivering identical 400 m / 600 m detection performance.
The SR-500-C is the European-market variant of Magos Systems' flagship SR-500 ground-surveillance radar, carrying the CE and RED (Radio Equipment Directive) certifications required for deployment across EU member states and markets that adopt European radio-frequency regulations. Electrically and mechanically, it is identical to the SR-500: the same MIMO digital beamforming architecture, 5.8 GHz C-band operation, 400-metre human detection, 600-metre vehicle detection, 0.4-metre range resolution, and 120-degree × 30-degree sector coverage covering over 61 acres per sensor head.
The distinguishing procurement significance of the -C designation is regulatory, not technical. Where the base SR-500 is FCC and UL certified for North American regulatory paths, the SR-500-C satisfies EN 62368-1:2014 (audio/video and IT equipment safety), EN 301 489-1 and EN 301 489-3 (electromagnetic compatibility for radio equipment), and EN 300 series RF emission standards — making it the compliant choice for European airport operators and for GCC airports procuring under European standards frameworks.
All other operational characteristics carry over unchanged: 3.5 W power consumption, IEEE 802.3at PoE Ethernet interface, IP67 weatherproofing, -40 °C to +85 °C operating range, 50,000-hour MTBF, and full compatibility with the MASS+AI platform and the same VMS/PTZ integration ecosystem.
