The Motorola Avtec Scout dispatch console family is a software-defined, IP-native voice dispatch platform that consolidates radio channels, telephone lines, broadband PTT, and recording systems into a single operator interface. Originally developed for aviation — Avtec has served commercial airline operations for more than 40 years — the Scout product line carries specific compliance with FAR Part 121.99 (US domestic) governing air-to-ground and ground-to-ground communications for air carriers, making it a known quantity in airline operations centres and airport control rooms worldwide.

The Scout Enterprise suite scales from a single-operator installation to hundreds of concurrent consoles across multi-site regional networks, with no practical ceiling on geographic distribution. Operators see all assigned radio channels as a configurable graphical interface — talkgroup panels, patch functions, patch recording, priority alerts — which can replicate an existing legacy console layout or be redesigned around the operator's workflow. Integration reaches across all major radio standards: CSSI interface to Motorola ASTRO P25 networks, direct wireline or wireless connection to MOTOTRBO DMR systems, and legacy analogue control stations, allowing a single console to bridge heterogeneous radio environments common at large international airports with legacy infrastructure still in service.

The EX model — the highest-capacity variant — monitors up to 250 simultaneous audio streams and 2,000 channels, accommodating the full channel complement of a major hub airport including airfield operations, ground handling, security, passenger services, and maintenance. Pool licensing allows the same software licences to float across both fixed and mobile console instances, reducing total cost for deployments with variable staffing. ScoutCare provides 24/7/365 US-based support with guaranteed software update cadence and security patching via the Avtec Protect service.
