Striker ARFF (4x4 / 6x6 configurations)
Two scalable Striker platforms — 1,500-gallon 4x4 for regional airports and 3,000-gallon 6x6 for busy international hubs — each meeting NFPA 414 and ICAO standards in their class.
The Striker family's 4x4 and 6x6 configurations extend the same platform philosophy to airports whose ICAO category requirements sit below the 8x8 threshold, covering the majority of the world's commercial airports by volume. The two models share the same TAK-4 all-wheel independent suspension, aluminium-cab architecture, Oshkosh power-divider drivetrain, and colour-coded cockpit layout; they differ primarily in agent capacity, axle count, and engine output to match the regulated discharge-rate requirements of their target categories.
The 4x4 carries 1,500 gallons of water and 210 gallons of foam, delivering 2,000 gpm from a Waterous CRQB pump (optionally upgradeable to 2,650 gpm). The roof turret flows 375/750 gpm selectable; bumper turret at 300 gpm. Powered by a Deutz TCD 16.0 L V8 at 697 hp, it achieves 0–50 mph in under 25 seconds — one of the fastest NFPA 414 compliance margins in class. GVWR sits at 62,000 lb, making it practical for secondary runways and taxiways at mid-sized airports. It is compliant with NFPA 414, FAA, and ICAO requirements for all 1,500-gallon-class ARFF vehicles.
The 6x6 steps up to a 3,000-gallon water tank, 420-gallon foam tank, and a 1,950 gpm pump at 250 psi. Its roof turret flows 625/1,250 gpm; an optional 2,650 gpm high-flow pump is available. This makes it suitable for airports with larger-body narrowbody and regional wide-body movements. Oshkosh publicly delivered nine Striker 6x6 units to Abu Dhabi Airports Company, one fitted with the Snozzle HRET — a direct demonstration of GCC operational fit.
Both configurations support optional HRET attachment, dry-chemical, Halotron, and clean-agent systems, compressed-air foam, and ClearSky Intelligence telematics. The 4x4 suits Category 6–8 airports; the 6x6 bridges to Category 8–9 operations where agent volume must scale without the footprint penalty of an 8x8.

Use cases.
- ›4x4: primary ARFF vehicle at regional and domestic airports handling ICAO Category 6–8 aircraft movements
- ›6x6: principal response vehicle at busy international airports with Category 8–9 aircraft and mixed-fleet schedules
- ›Secondary or mutual-aid ARFF units at Category 9/10 hubs to supplement 8x8 primary vehicles
- ›Airports transitioning to fluorine-free foam (F3) under emerging PFAS-replacement mandates
- ›Military airfields and government aviation authorities with combined civilian/defence operations
- ›GCC regional airports (Muscat, Bahrain, Kuwait, Sharjah) where A320/B737 family aircraft dominate the schedule
