The SC20 is Sepura's flagship hand-portable TETRA radio, engineered for personnel who need the complete feature set of a mission-critical communications platform in a rugged, wearable form. It delivers TETRA digital voice across VHF and UHF bands (136–174 MHz, 380–430 MHz, 403–470 MHz, and 806–870 MHz), combined with secondary high-speed data bearers via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for data-intensive workflows such as dispatch messaging, personnel tracking, and real-time information feeds.

In airport settings the SC20 is deployed by security teams, ground supervisors, terminal operations coordinators, and fire brigade personnel who require the full TETRA capability set — group calls, emergency calls, individual calls, and direct mode — without compromise. The 37 × 49 mm QVGA colour display is readable in direct sunlight on the apron, and the 2 W speaker with Water Porting technology maintains audio clarity through heavy rain and high ambient noise from jet engines and GSE. GNSS (GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo) enables dispatcher-side tracking and lone-worker safety.

The SC20 sits at the top of Sepura's SC2 hand-portable family. Buyers choosing it over the SC21 or SC23 gain Wi-Fi connectivity, the broadest frequency coverage including 800 MHz public-safety bands, IP68 submersion to 1 m, and the highest power battery option (1880 mAh). It is the natural choice for role-players who carry a radio throughout a 12-hour shift and cannot afford a missed call or dead battery. In the GCC, where ramp temperatures routinely exceed 45 °C, the −30 °C to +65 °C operational range and 1 m water ingress protection are operationally significant.
