HCVM — Mobile High-Energy Cargo X-Ray (4–6 MeV)
Mobile cargo / vehicle X-ray with 4-6 MeV LINAC, 320 mm steel penetration, deployable in <30 minutes.
The HCVM is Smiths Detection's mobile high-energy X-ray inspection platform — deployable as a self-driving lorry (HCVM L) or trailer (HCVM T) and ready to scan in under 30 minutes. Configured with 4 MeV to 6 MeV LINACs and viZual organic / inorganic material discrimination, it screens up to 25 trucks per hour in mobile scanning mode and up to 100 trucks per hour in pass-through mode. Steel penetration up to 320 mm. Six selectable scanning modes with adjustable height and angles. iCMORE radioactive-material option for combined X-ray + gamma / neutron analysis. Used at Marseille for one of the largest cocaine seizures on record (March 2022). Operates -15°C to +40°C standard, -30°C to +55°C with cold-weather option.
