The SDX 100100 HC is the current Smiths Detection product for oversized-baggage and break-bulk-freight screening — replacing the HI-SCAN 100100V-2is (which Smiths formally retired). The 1,000 × 1,000 mm tunnel and 200 kg conveyor capacity handle out-of-gauge items that defeat standard hold-baggage scanners. A 160 kV generator with the HiTraX 3 imaging platform delivers AWG 40 wire resolution and 37 mm steel penetration. Ergonomic high-conveyor design reduces operator strain on heavy items. iCMORE Weapons and iCMORE Lithium Batteries software options add automated AI threat detection. Modular design with common parts across the SDX line trims maintenance time and downtime.
