iCMORE is Smiths Detection's family of AI-powered object-recognition algorithms layered onto its X-ray and CT scanners. Trained on millions of images, it flags concealed threats — firearms, sharps, lithium batteries, weapons, currency, narcotics, tobacco contraband — in under a second. iCMORE APIDS earned ECAC APIDS Standard 1 certification (Federal Police Technology Centre / Dutch NCTV) for regulated checkpoint prohibited items, supporting a planned migration to alarm-only viewing — the operational model that drives meaningful checkpoint OPEX reduction. Software-only deployment on most Smiths Detection scanners (machine type and age determine evaluation-power add-ons) means no civil works and minimal training. Modules cover Low Energy (checkpoint, hold-baggage, parcel) and High Energy (cargo / vehicle) applications.
