The TLE20 is a low-to-medium-intensity elevated LED light designed for deployment in serial 6.6 A airfield current circuits or parallel 230 V supply systems, making it compatible with both permanent aerodromes and mobile/deployable airfield installations. The fixture is omnidirectional or bidirectional depending on the optical insert fitted, and supports a wide range of lighting functions: runway edges, thresholds, taxiway edge and centreline, FATO/TLOF perimeter, and heliport approach — giving airport engineers the flexibility to standardise on a single housing across multiple circuit types.

At 200 mm tall and 2.2 kg (6.6 A variant), the TLE20 is intentionally compact to minimise obstruction risk on smaller airfields and heliports. The LED module carries a rated service life exceeding 100,000 hours under standard operation and complies with FAA EB 67D intensity regulation, meaning five-step or three-step dimming integrates without firmware modification into most AGL control systems. The IP67 enclosure is hardened against salt fog, UV, and vibration (tested to 2G at 20–2,000 Hz), making it appropriate for coastal and desert-climate deployments where corrosion and thermal cycling are primary lifecycle concerns.

The TLE20 is particularly well suited to regional airports, military aerodromes, and oil-and-gas helipads that operate inset-free grass runways or paved surfaces where full series-circuit inset installation is impractical. In the GCC context — where mobile forward operating bases and private-aviation helipads are increasing — the parallel 230 V IT-supply variant allows rapid deployment from a generator without specialist series-circuit regulators.

Best for

Use cases.

  • Runway edge and threshold lighting on Category 1 and non-precision approach runways
  • FATO and TLOF perimeter lighting at permanent and temporary heliports
  • Mobile and deployable airfield installations using parallel 230 V generator supply
  • Taxiway edge lighting on small-to-medium regional aerodromes
  • Military forward operating base lighting where series-circuit infrastructure is unavailable
  • Desert and coastal environments requiring UV, salt-fog, and thermal-shock rated equipment
