X-ray Full-Body Scanner
X-ray transmission full-body scanner that detects both metallic and non-metallic concealed threats — including narcotics, explosives, and non-metallic blades — without physical pat-down.
The KritiScan X-Ray Body Scanner is an X-ray transmission-based personnel screening system designed to identify items concealed beneath clothing or secreted inside body cavities that conventional walk-through metal detectors cannot resolve. Unlike millimetre-wave active imaging systems that produce a stylised avatar, transmission X-ray body scanning produces a grayscale silhouette that renders both dense metallic objects and lower-density non-metallic materials — ceramics, plastics, powders, liquids, and organic compounds — as distinct tonal features, enabling a trained operator to identify concealed weapons, narcotics, detonator components, and explosive material in a single automated scan lasting a few seconds. The technology class is typically deployed where high-consequence threat vectors include swallowed or body-cavity-concealed narcotics (high-value drug interdiction corridors), non-metallic weapon concealment, or insider-threat scenarios at secure facilities. In aviation, it is most commonly specified at customs and border control exits from international terminals, at high-risk port-of-entry corridors, and at prison and remand facility intake points where contraband-by-ingestion is a documented threat. It is also used at government premises and embassy access control where blanket personnel screening is mandated. The system is manufactured in India and designed to meet AERB radiation safety standards applicable to personnel scanning equipment. The X-ray transmission approach requires that scan results be reviewed by a same-gender operator in a separate booth or screened monitor position, consistent with privacy regulations applicable in GCC civil aviation administrations. The compact cabinet design allows installation in constrained checkpoint configurations without structural modification.
