Founded in June 1993 by Peter Baker and now operationally managed by his children Jamie and Claire Baker, the company runs from its headquarters in the West Midlands and a 30,000 sq ft metalwork and assembly factory called 'West Six' opened in 2018, with a US subsidiary (Baker Bellfield LLC) in Sacramento, California, supporting Buy America rail contracts.
