Company brief
Shenzhen CIMC-TianDa Airport Support, also known as CIMC TianDa Holdings, is a Shenzhen-headquartered subsidiary of China International Marine Containers (CIMC) Group and positions itself as the world's leading airport equipment company. Its origins trace back to 1989 when CIMC's Airport Equipment Department began developing passenger boarding bridges; the first CIMC PBB went into service at Tianjin Airport in 1990. By 2025 the company reported having delivered close to 10,000 passenger boarding bridges to 429 airports across 91 countries and regions worldwide, supported by a global service network of more than 700 employees (including 200+ overseas) with resident service centres in 26 Chinese provincial-capital cities and international centres including a European Operations Centre in France and resident hubs in the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Russia, Jordan, Dubai, Cambodia and the USA. CIMC TianDa's product portfolio is structured around three pillars: airport equipment — Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB+), Seaport Boarding Bridges, Visual Docking Guidance Systems (VDGS), Ground Support Equipment including Pre-Conditioned Air Units, Ground Power Units, Apron Buses, Cargo Loaders, Transporters, Catering Trucks, Ambulifts, Z-Class and commercial-chassis aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicles, Baggage Handling Systems and Air Cargo Handling Systems; fire and rescue equipment under CIMC TianDa's owned brands including Germany's Ziegler, SiChuan ChuanXiao, ShangHai JinDun and ShenYang JieTong; and automated logistics equipment including AS/RS, four-way shuttle systems, miniload and multi-shuttle solutions, automated ULD/pallet loading, robotic palletising, sorting and conveying, plus a software stack of WMS, WCS, LPMS, LES, ECS and a digital twin simulation platform. CCTV Evening News reported in February 2026 on CIMC TianDa's intelligent unmanned docking system, and the company supplied equipment to Shenzhen Airport's satellite hall.
