ElectroAir
“EU specialist in 400 Hz, 28.5 VDC and battery GPUs for airports.”
Company brief
ElectroAir is an Estonian aviation ground power manufacturer (founded 2006, HQ Kapteni tee 1, Soodevahe, Rae parish) supplying GPUs, 400 Hz frequency converters, 28.5 VDC rectifiers, underground PIT systems, ASUs, load banks and battery-electric GPUs to over 300 commercial and military customers in 100+ countries — including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. Quality system certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and AQAP 2110 by TÜV Rheinland LRTDEA, valid through 2027, with design, manufacture, installation and after-sales servicing performed in-house.

The APA-100 is ElectroAir's most compact and lightweight diesel-driven mobile GPU, combining 90 kVA of 400 Hz AC power and 800 A of 28.5 VDC power in a single mobile unit so one machine covers both aircraft power types. It runs on a Deutz Stage V / Tier 4 Final engine for lower-emission operation and offers an optional plug-in hybrid mode.
The APA-110 is a trailer-mounted (or truck-mounted) diesel-engine-driven mobile GPU available in multiple configurations spanning 60-90 kVA 400 Hz AC, optional 28.5 VDC (300 A or 800 A), and an optional plug-in function that enables emissions-free aircraft servicing inside hangars. Configurations let operators match AC-only or AC+DC output to fleet needs.
The APA-165/APA-165E is ElectroAir's high-capacity diesel-driven GPU platform, combining dual 400 Hz AC channels up to 2x180 kVA with flexible 28.5 VDC and 24/48 V engine-start options. It is offered as a towable composite-cased unit (APA-165) and as the APA-165E truck-mounted ground mobile electrical unit on an IVECO NEXT 4x2 chassis, with dual control on the unit and in the cabin.
The APA-65 (EAR-600) is ElectroAir's diesel-driven mobile GPU delivering 28.5 VDC output (600 A nominal, 2000 A peak) for rugged and remote environments. It uses a Stage V Deutz diesel engine, an IP55 outdoor casing, and a 10.1" touchscreen with remote-monitoring support, with an optional AC output for hybrid operation. It sits in the broader APA-65 series alongside the EACR-45/600 hybrid (adds 400 Hz AC) and the APA-ECO-DC battery model.
ElectroAir's flagship battery-electric GPU. The APA-ECO is not DC-only: it can deliver 400 Hz AC (45-180 kVA), optional 28.5 VDC, and optional 36 VAC / 270 VDC outputs from a LiFePO4 (cobalt-free) battery, eliminating CO2 and noise. The line offers specific sub-configurations, including a DC-only 600 A unit and an AC+DC 90 kVA / 800 A unit, so outputs vary by order.
Solid-state 400 Hz static frequency converter that converts 3-phase 50/60 Hz mains into stable 115/200V 400Hz aircraft power. Available as solid-state (fixed), mobile towable, or under-ramp with cable coil. Per-model ratings run 2 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 140 / 180 / 250 kVA, with the EAC / EAC-HM series scaling up to 1000 kVA for paralleled or large fixed installations.
New-generation EAR converter-rectifier units delivering stable 28.5 VDC. Unlike classic transformer-rectifiers, the converting section uses a capacitor bank so the unit withstands high dynamic overloads (notably aircraft engine-start surges). Controlled by an MPCU microprocessor plate (control, protection, diagnosis) with optional access system and energy-consumption monitoring. Continuous current is configurable from 100 A up to 1500 A across the series, with overload up to 2500 A.
Combined static unit providing both 400Hz AC and 28.5VDC from one cabinet, with two independent, separately adjustable output channels (each with its own line-drop compensation). The EACR-90-800 delivers up to 90 kVA 400Hz AC plus 800 A 28.5VDC; the DC side is configurable for single-channel 28.5VDC or dual-channel 28/56VDC. AC ratings follow the same kVA ladder as the EAC converter (2-250 kVA) and DC the EAR ladder (100-800 A); the model name encodes the AC kVA and DC amps (e.g. 90 kVA / 800 A).
