Company brief
Emirates Engineering is the MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) division of Emirates airline, operating one of the world's most technologically advanced aircraft maintenance facilities. Headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates at Dubai International Airport (DXB), the organisation holds GCAA CAR V approval (UAE General Civil Aviation Authority) and provides comprehensive maintenance services for the Emirates fleet — the world's largest combined fleet of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft — as well as third-party maintenance contracts for approximately 30 other airlines.
The facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering line maintenance, base maintenance, component overhaul, engine maintenance, and cosmetic services. The Engine Maintenance Centre services more than 300 Emirates engines. The Engine Test Cell is described as one of approximately twelve such facilities worldwide and the largest engine test facility in the Middle East. The Aircraft Appearance Centre encompasses a paint hangar, paint workshop, and a graphics and decal shop.
In addition to maintenance activities, Emirates Engineering provides engineering support services including materials management, aircraft procurement, engineering projects, technical training, technical services, planning and IT systems, and facilities management. The organisation's Compliance Monitoring department ensures adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements. Emirates Engineering personnel are fully qualified at all levels and manage all aspects of maintenance, engineering, quality, planning, and logistics.
