Fortem Technologies
“SkyDome + DroneHunter — radar and net-based interceptor drones.”
Company brief
Fortem Technologies is a US-based aerospace and defence technology company that develops counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) solutions, airspace awareness platforms, and advanced air mobility infrastructure. The company is headquartered in the United States and has attracted strategic investment from Toshiba, Boeing, DCVC, Signia Venture Partners, and other partners, reflecting its credibility across commercial and defence sectors. Fortem focuses on three principal domains: counter-UAS defence systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) applications, and enabling infrastructure for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) in urban and suburban environments.
Fortem's flagship product ecosystem is the SkyDome System, an integrated end-to-end counter-drone solution that monitors and protects airspace day and night, in adverse weather conditions, through a modular and portable architecture. The SkyDome System has been deployed at world-class venues, military bases, airports, and critical infrastructure sites. Performance metrics cited by the company include 360-degree 3D radar detection and tracking, threat assessment accuracy exceeding 85 percent for fixed-wing drone capture, and approximately 5,000 UAVs captured successfully to date. The SkyDome is designed to overcome the compatibility and integration failures that affect multi-vendor C-UAS deployments by delivering a fully integrated solution from a single provider.
The TrueView radar family forms the sensing backbone of the SkyDome System. The TrueView R40 provides long-range radar detection, while the R30 offers 360-degree coverage with onboard AI and GPU processing. The R20 is a compact variant for lighter deployment requirements. The C30 Camera System provides optical confirmation and tracking support. The DroneHunter F700 is an autonomous interceptor drone capable of physically capturing Group-3 threats such as Iranian-made Shahed-136-type drones using a trailing net mechanism. The DroneHangar serves as an autonomous launch and recovery station for the DroneHunter in fixed-site deployments. The SkyDome Manager is the unified command and control software interface.
