Kidde Aerospace, a Collins Aerospace (RTX) division, is the leading supplier of aircraft fire-protection systems — smoke detectors, cargo-bay suppression (Halon replacement with 2-BTP/HFC-125), engine/APU fire bottles and overheat detection loops. Kidde systems are fitted to the Airbus A320/A330/A350/A380 and Boeing 737/777/787, meaning every Gulf-region carrier aircraft carries Kidde detection. The line-maintenance and FAA Part-145 overhaul business for engine fire bottles is handled from Kidde's regional MRO partners in Dubai and Doha.
