Nuctech Company

Nuctech, spun out of Tsinghua University in Beijing, has become the principal Chinese challenger to Smiths, Leidos and Rapiscan. Its CX series cabin CT scanners and CB CT hold-baggage systems hold ECAC Standard 3 approval, and the company is particularly strong in container and vehicle scanning for customs use. Nuctech has won several GCC tenders on price and flexibility, but remains politically controversial in US and some EU markets. In the Gulf, it is most visible in cargo and customs screening installations and increasingly in passenger checkpoints at secondary airports.
