Qatar Airways Technical is the captive engineering arm of Qatar Airways Group, based at Hamad International. The facility operates multiple wide-body hangar bays and is type-rated on A319/320/321, A330, A350, A380, 777, 777F and 787. Services cover line maintenance, A- and C-checks, cabin reconfiguration, and component MRO, alongside an on-wing engine support team for GE90, GEnx, Rolls-Royce Trent XWB and Trent 1000. The business sells third-party capacity but remains first and foremost captive to Qatar Airways' fleet (the world's largest A350 operator). Qatar Airways Technical was at the centre of the public A350 surface-defects dispute with Airbus that was resolved in 2023.
