Where Robin Radar Systems appears
What public sources say.
Robin Radar — a spin-out from the Dutch defence research lab TNO — builds compact X-band holographic radars originally for bird-strike prevention and now repurposed for drone detection. The IRIS radar uses micro-Doppler signatures to distinguish a rotor-driven drone from a flapping bird or a helicopter rotor, reducing false-alarm rates that plague airport C-UAS installations. Robin is non-ITAR (Dutch EU dual-use only), making it one of the few high-performance radars freely exportable to the GCC without US State Department approval. The company has delivered systems to Dutch airports, UK CAA trial sites, and reportedly to Emirati critical-infrastructure protection programmes.
