Smiths Detection (Smiths Group plc, London) is one of the world's largest manufacturers of explosives, weapons and contraband detection systems for aviation, ports, borders, urban security and defence. Aviation portfolio centres on the HI-SCAN cabin-baggage CT family (6040 CTiX), hold-baggage CT EDS (10080 XCT, SDX 10080 SCT) and the CTX 9800/5800 in-line systems, plus IONSCAN 600 trace-detection and iCMORE AI auto-detection.
