Catering Hi-Lifts, Water & Lavatory Service Vehicles installations at King Fahd International Airport (DMM)

تركيبات مركبات رفع التموين وخدمة المياه والمراحيض في مطار الملك فهد الدولي

These are the scissor-lift and tanker vehicles that service the cabin and its consumables during turnaround: catering high-lifts that raise a body to galley-door height to exchange meal trolleys, potable-water service trucks and carts, lavatory-service (toilet) trucks and carts that empty and replenish, and combined cabin-service trucks. Specification turns on lift height for the target fleet, tank capacity, hygiene separation (potable vs waste) and chassis. Ground handlers and airline catering operators buy these as fleet items, and potable-water/lavatory units are mandatory at every served stand.

Covering 776 square kilometres, DMM is the largest airport site in the world by land area — an absurdly oversized template that includes its own Aramco terminal and Royal pavilion. For years it punched below its weight; now it is catching up, with 13.2 million passengers in 2024 and a new masterplan announced in 2023 to lift capacity to 40 mppa. Riyadh Air and a buoyant Eastern Province economy are reshaping the traffic curve.
