Ala is Altek Italia Design's premium fixed-beam airport seating range, designed by Stefano Esposito and protected by international patent. It is built around a 12 mm anodised aluminium outer structure and a 70 mm diameter brushed stainless-steel central support bar — a combination that delivers the structural rigidity required for continuous high-occupancy gate use while maintaining a slim visual profile appropriate to premium terminal interiors.

The system offers substantial configuration breadth. Back height comes in low or high; seats can be standard or with an integrated footrest; armrests are open or closed; a lounge variant offers a reclined back with footrest for longer-dwell premium zones. Side tables can be positioned at variable intervals along the beam. This range of options within a single beam family simplifies the procurement process for large terminal fit-outs: one supplier, one installation methodology, multiple zone types.

Upholstery choices reflect airport fire-safety requirements directly: genuine hard leather, non-flammable synthetic leather, and fire-retardant integral polyurethane are all specified. The structure's cast-aluminium base and arms offer corrosion resistance suited to humid coastal climates — relevant for Gulf airports where condensation and ambient humidity are constant considerations in specifying surface materials.

Power integration — main sockets and USB ports mountable at seat sides, plus optional wireless Qi surface charging — means Ala can be specified as a complete charged-wait solution at gate level without secondary furniture.
